Greetings fellow modelers,

Wow, what an impressive web site. Many thanks armorama for this fantastic site.

It has been many years (20+) since I built a scale model and most of them were cars and tractor-trailers but I have always been fascinated with/by military hardware. I am certainly impressed with the detail in some of the kits that are available today.

I have chosen Dragon’s SS-1c "SCUD-B" w/MAZ-543TEL to enter into this new era of model building. I am sure that this kit will test my capabilities.

Regards,

SCUDHunter

this is the friendliest, greatest, best super sitein the world and really far beyond the borders of the universe (at least... it is for me)

If you are in the forums here you have to keep always something in mind. this are the rules we live by:

3. Always Ask :-)
4. If there is a stupid question then it`s the ne that isn`t asked.
5. Always Ask :-) :-)

Anyway welcome on board and I hope you have a good time here and maybe you could share some in progress pics of your scud.

:-) Thanks for a warm welcome.

Oh by the way I am also working on Revells 1:32 scale F-15 D/E but I didn't mention it earier because I thought this was a armor only site. My mouth is also watering for the Tamiya F-15 Strike Eagle "bunker buster" -- now that is one impressive kit.

Welcome Scudhunter! There have been quite a few new aeroplane builders started here recently! I may need to start building some anti-aircraft batteries soon!

MODEL BUILDING IS THRIVING HERE. AS FOR KIT BUILDING, MOST OF US BUILD EVERYTHING, WE ALL HAVE OUR PREFERENCES BUT GET INTO OTHER FIELDS AS WELL. ONE THING YOU DON'T FIND IS STATEMENTS LIKE ---SUCKS OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT, JUST LOTS OF ENCOURAGEMENT AND MORE ADVICE THAN YOU CAN SHAKE A STICK AT. HAVE FUN WITH IT

Yep thats what I thought when I first bumped into this sight, There are deffinately more armour guys here. You only need to look at the number of topics and replies, on the Armour board. However everything is represented here and everyone is encouraging. We have several aircraft group builds in progress and a campaign starting up soon on the aircraft board. So why not join in, I've found it's a great way to get the modelling juices flowing.
If it's at all possible it would be great to see some pictures of your F15. I used to build 1/72 modern but I now do 1/48 WWII. Those modern 1/32 jets are impressive :-)
