I have a wooden arm chair for building which I bought used. When I paint I use a bar stool. Until a few years ago I played drums in a bar band and I used the barstool instead of a drum throne. It was cheaper.
However, most of the time when I paint (airbrush) I stand.

I use a beautiful antique wooden chair with a caned seat.

I put this on a very nice persian carpet. (Another hobby of mine.)

I prefer old school.

I have an office chair I ordered. I have had 3 back surgeries and can't stay comfortable in most chairs for more than 15 minutes, so I had to find one that worked.

I use a wooden stool I made from three snow shovel handles and scrap planking. Height is matched to my work bench. One leg is shorter than the other two so I am kind of leaning forward. Not too comfortable so that I get up and move around more often.

I use an old wooden bar stool with a short back on it....it is so old, I don't dare make any sudden moves on it.....but it is sooooooo comfortable, and just the right height for the work bench!!!!

At the moment I am using a nice comfy leather desk chair, however when my ankle is better and my wife kicks me back up the stairs to my modelling room, I will have to make do with an old piano stool.

for modeling I sit at an old drafting table on a fold out cushioned chair. For bulling with you guy on the internet(computer) i have an easy chair. Makes playing Steel Panthers a joy. Oh I'm 10-0 against the Iraqies. But thse damned Shermans keep overwhelming my Tigers. For some reason at 200m 75% of the shots bounce off while a Sherman can kill a tiger at 4x the distance. I'll bet Shermanfreak designed this game. LOL
