Visited a little known museum about 25 miles from La Casa.
Here's a few shots I took of some of the antique engines and machines these guys restore to working condition.

More to follow after I set up the gallery, and write the article.

Hey Grumpy...
I can only echo 007's....what was the boring part?

A friend of mine has just finished restoring a Powerwagon here in Riyadh.
Its an open people carrier.
I'll try and get a few shots and post at a later date.

Great stuff Dave.

Cheers
Peter

"Boring" was tongue in cheek.
I was at a Military Vehicle show, and didn't realize this little museum and collection of antique engines and machines afficionados' existed at the county fairgrounds.

I thought there might be a twist to it... or they have a refurbished working drill rig.

mine is even boring...
took a flight from LA to Cincinnati...the flight took 3.5 hours but eat up another 3 hours due to the time different..so i landed in another time zone (again..) and were confused ...and the weather is too cold..it's raining....took a cab and they charge me $55 to the hotel.... reached the hotel and they gave me wrong room....
and finally when i ready to sleep, i cant sleep coz the time in my head is still Malaysia....

and today i brace my self walking in the cold just to get to the nearby hobbyshop but i cant find it!!! and i'm the only one walking in the streers..some drivers give me the weired horn sound which may be translated as "are u nuts walking in this weather??"

anyway, this is the cool thing happen to me so far

standing by one of my fav trucks...manages to have a little chat with the fat old owner.....i thought he wanna give a test drive after all thecompliments i gave to his car but suddenly her dauhgther appear and ask him to go back...

too bad...

and now i'm too sleepy!!!

what a day..what a day

but i'm glad to safely arrived here

Reminds me of when I used to volunteer at the Rural Life Museum in Usk. Sort of - SWMBO was working there so there was an element of coercion..... BTW for anyone in East Anglia interested in that stuff I recommend the Museum of East Anglian Life. Spent a great day there last summer looking at er.... rural stuff and dragonflies

My Saturday was spent as Kew Gardens feeding birds and stuff.
