Howdy All
Just thought I'd throw some photos out there that I find "intereting"....with any luck...... you may too.
Can anyone identify this wee beastie, and, if possible describe it's purpose/origin?

At first I thought it was a "Springer," but it doesn't match my refs. Some kind of Schlepper. I'll leave this one to the German-o-philes.

Hmmm, it is very interesting and since I don't have clue one, my guess is it's the predecessor of the Yugo?

Actually I'm pretty sure it is a captured Belgian Vickers light utility tractor. Vickers sold them around Europe just before the war and the belgianms used them to haul light goods and tow small arty/AT guns.
British made, Belgian bought & German used. How's that for common market, eh? :-)

Howdy Fellas,
Nice input one and all...and even though the photos I post here won't all be catagorized as "What the heck is this?", but more because I think they are interesting...I guess I better look for tougher ones to see if I can stump our good and learned Hollowpoint!
Here's one I think the German Army designed to assist the farmers in the local area plow their fields
If you think my agricultural idea is not true{ }, please expand on what this fine piece of german steel really does...

Howdy fellas,
You guys got 'em alright And Drader, that was an excellent call on the STZ-3, I didn't think anyone would get that one because of the rather odd angle and what was left of the remains....
Just for entertainment, here's a quick shot of some interesting looking late-war 'improvisation'....
That is a Pak40 mounted on top isn't it? Or is this the usual configuration, and I'm just missin' it?

And for those who may be looking for something 'different' in a WWII Willey"s Jeep build....how about this?
And, can you see that it's actually trailering something similarly armoured behind it?
Not only that, but that it's also apparently on rails?

Did you guys know that the V2 Rocket system was also rail deployed?........kinda like the original MX missle system that Ronald Reagan hawked back in the 80's and 90's
Maybe it's where he got the idea .....never know. ;-)

Looks like the 50mm PaK 38 mounted (somewhat precariously) on top of an Sd Kfz 231/232. And surely photographed somewhere in North Africa c. 1942 if the background is anything to go by. IMHO of course...
