What with it now being 2007, (Happy new year by the way!) I was thinking back over last year and wondering how many kits/dioramas I managed to get finished over 2006.
As far as I can remember I think I finished off:

-1/72 Africa korps Marder Diorama
-1/35 Stug III with Panzer Grenadiers
-1/35 'Checking on the front' diorama (German general inspecting front line positions in Normandy 1944)
-1/32 'Charging Desert Rats' Diorama with Crusader III tank
-1/16 German machine gunner at rest

Ive impressed myself there considering Its been a busy year!

So, how productive was your year?

That's quite a few dioramas in one year -very nice.

I did quite a few so it was a productive year. I'll remember it mostly by the completion of my pirates diorama "Sparrow"

My list is somewhat short, but longer than 2005.

- Seil Models 54mm 1st Sgt, US Army, US-Mexican War
- 1/35 Whippet Medium Tank
- Chas C Stadden Duke of Wellington at Waterloo (+- 80mm)

Still in progress from 2006:

- Tamiya 120mm DAK Tanker
- Pegaso 54mm Crusader Knight in the Holy Land
- GWS Warhammer Questing Knight (28mm?)

I was having a real good year myself also, it kind of surprised me that with all the travel I do I was able to get all this done.

Revell of Germany M1038, Academy wheels; Eduard etch for M1036 (Wheels-Move it! again)
Trumpeter JGSDF Type 87, OOB (Modern Armor)
Bandai Extra Zero Eight on Diorama base, OOB (Mecha Madness)
Tamiya Lotus 25, Engine wiring, intake screening, brake lines (Gentlemen-Start Your Engines!)
Revell XL1200 LTD Water Craft Racer (Granite State Modelers Club Build)
Italeri Stinger Missile Launcher, (Rockets and Missiles – 2006)
Tamiya M1046, Calibre 35 conversion, Blast wheels, ProArt radio (Humvees!)

So far this year there are already two done that were started last year:
Academy M997 Ambulance, Verlinden update, Tamiya wheels (A-Guard!)
AMT 1996 Ford Explorer, wired engine (Brother's truck)

I guess I may be a campaign hound since most of the builds were for here! :-) :-) :-) :-)

This will be a slower build year as I started ripping apart my work area to rebuild it with new walls and built in counters.

Considering my wife and I had a baby last February I did okay in 06.

1/35th Tamiya Cromwell
1/35th Tamiya T-72
1/48 Tamiya Tiger 1
1/48 Tamiya Pz III
1/72 Revell Pz IV J
1/72 Revell Pz IIIM

Started but not quite finished...

1/35 Tamiya Leopard 1
1/35 Tamiya Protze towing pak.
1/48 Tamiya Panther G

Thiw was my best year yet since I got back into the hobby. Part of it was because I got my self a room to do my models and i was better organized. The big thing was I just built for the fun of it without getting worried about the kits being totally accurate.

Glad to hear ya'll had a good year.

Mine was not so good: got one kit finished. A 1/35 T-72A (which I actually completed over New Year's break but am counting it for 2006)

2005 was a much better year and I'm hoping, with 8 kits on the workbench right now, that 2007 will be an improvement. Come to think of it--how could it not!? Can one finish negative kits? I guess if one fell off the shelf it could end up in the debit column! :-)

Here's to a banner year!

I guess I didn't do too bad after all. Off the top of my head:

1/35 234/4 (DML)
1/35 WC-51 "Beep" (AFV Club)
1/35 SdKfz 222 (Tamiya)
1/48 Tiger I Final (AFV Club)
1/48 Firefly IC (Tamiya)
1/48 Krupp Protze (Tamiya)
1/72 P-51D Mustang (Tamiya)
1/72 Bradley (DML)
1/72 Tie Interceptor (Fine Molds)

I've got a handful of kits that didn't see completion in 06, but they're close. Most notably a 1/35 Tiger I Initial (DML), 1/48 Stug G (Tamiya), and 1/72 SdKfz 223 (ICM).

What if we turn the question around.

I actually did get two 1:48 Mustangs finished, but my Classic Airframes CR 42 has now rested with a tan upside and grey belly for four years, waiting for a mottled cammo. Isn't that a feat?

Tony,
That would be a good question to start in a new thread.

I have a 1/32 F-16A I picked up in Kunsan, South Korea while stationed there in 1991. I started it that year and have yet to complete it.

It hasn't been sitting idle, I do work on it every few months, mostly the interior stuff. I keep re-building and repainting things like the cockpit, gun, and afterburner.

I keep telling myself "One of these days I will hit it hard...."

Don't know about productive - destructive might describe it better! Total kits completed - 0. House moves achieved - 1. Motorcycles wrecked- 2! (However I did finish putting one of them back together over Christmas, so does this count as 1, albeit 1/1 scale?)

4 items actually finished.

But as some other projects were not finished during 2006, it looks like 2007 could be my most productive for a long time. Panther A, ssys and ommr rail cars will count towards 2007, as will Dragon´s Jaboschrek, which is in the weathering stages, at the moment!
