Here is a nice review of whit I think would be a great pair of glasses. They look very light and unobtrusive.
Rowan has reviewed them on Aeroscale and syndicated them here

I'm trying to find a supplier and neither the links nor Google comes up with any. Could you give me a working link? Thanks.

Rowan, or anybody else, would these work when wearing regular glasses? I've never liked optivisor type magnifiers because I have to take off my glasses, put on the visor, take off the visor, put on my glasses, etc. If these could fit over my glasses so I could just swing them into place when needed, and out of the way when not, that would be great.

Hi Rodger
Grumpy appently wears these magnifiers over his glasses without any difficulty. I don't need glasses for close-up work, just to see at a distance, but I did a quick test wearing the magnifiers over my spectacles and found no problem at all - the magnifiers frame is light enough to be perfectly comfortable along with the regular glasses. (There's a chance the lense holder might actually clip onto the bridge of some regular frames if the nose bridge is wide enough).
All the best

Thanks Rowan, and all. I might look for these. My tri-focals don't do too bad a job so far, but who knows how long that will be the case.

For those that wear eyeglasses you could try one of these that clip to your frame. http://www.independentliving.com/products.asp?dept=175&deptname=Walters+Magnifiers
or for lower mag
http://www.independentliving.com/prodinfo.asp?number=658082&cid=froogle
Note that these flip up after you clip them on.
