My name is Larry and I'm 53 years old. Spent 31 1/2 years at GM and have retired with a little bit of sanity intact, I hope anway. Crazy place.

Spend a lot of time baby-sitting my grand-daughter and reading military history. My favorite periods are the Am. Civil War. W. W. II, esp. the German Army, and the Native American peoples and their religious beliefs. And yes, for those who have an understanding of early American history, sgity, does stand for Simon Girty, the so called 'traitor' to his own people during the Am. Revolution. What can I say, I have the spirit of 'the people' in my blood.

I been back into modeling for the last 4 or 5 years now. Due to other commitments I can't do as much of it as I would like, but am proceeding along at a pretty good pace for me. I use this hobby not only for its relaxation benefits, but also to try to get a better understanding of the fighting equipment used during this period, and I think that modeling is one of the best ways to do this sort of thing.

I also enjoy shooting military weapons with my son, who is nice enough to take the 'old man' out occasionally to help him add more 'weight' to the hills at the local range.

Hey Larry, I was wondering if you were going to introduce yourself here. I was also curious of the origin of your 'handle.'

I guess I'm guilty of introducing Larry to this site so if he offends anybody you can blame me. Don't let his modesty fool you when he says "I can't do as much of it as I'd like." I just hope to someday match his output. He's leaving me in his dust.
