Kinda fun to make this post - so all of you keep your eyes out. Colonel Sabot (Rob) is three posts away from becoming our first General! Give him three cheers when he crosses that threshold!!!

Well after another manual promotion in the database, Rob is now a Brig. General!
Rob - Your really going to keep me on my toes with thinking of all new ranks in the future aren't you? Let's see.... Imperious Leader of the Cylon Empire?....hmm.....Dark Lord of Sith?...no too dark....hmmm......
Thanks for all the great posts to date! I am glad Armorama is one of your favorite places on the net.
Cheers,
Jim (still a lowly Lt. Col.)

Congratulations Sabot! I echo Jim's message...
I think you will have to make up some new ranks for Sabot - like Chairman, Joint Cheifs of Armorama - pretty soon...

Congrats Rob on another well deserved promotion!
I would like to add to Jim and Gunnie's comments...it's not the quantity, it's the quality of posts that make the STAR!

Congrats sir. I must echo the coments that it's not the # but quality of your posts that have earned you my respect. You have got me to love armor building and helped me to build better models. thankyou sir. There are others on the site that have helped with this but you have been a major player to say the least.

Rob I was going to say something eloquent here to commemorate your finally making 'Top Brass' but after a little thought I realized that Kenc' already said it best!!
Congrats General Gronovius! Now if only the Dept. of the Army started paying you at that grade I bet you'd be as happy as Loon! :-) :-)

Ya know, I started a thread some time ago called 'Stump Sabot'. Thinking there must be something that can stump this guy.....waste of time it was trying to stump Armorama's little 'Cornucopia'!

Congrats Rob, I mean General Sabot. So what comes after General? Field Marshall Sabot? Congressman Sabot? Senator Sabot? President Sabot? OR SQUARE ONE AGAIN...Private Sabot.

Rufus,
Well...technically Rob still has to go through Major Gen. and Lt. General before he gets to 4 star General. Then there's a five star above that.
Why is Major General befor Lt. General??

Because the old rank was Sergeant Major General, which was outranked by Lieutenant General. The officers, for some reason, didn't like the non-com's tag on the rank, and 'Sergeant' was dropped from the title - leaving Major General.
