As far as I know, the PS3 was released for a limited run on the 17th.
Thats why you had some knob paying 10 grand for it on Ebay..
The full release should be in time for Christmas..

I'd honestly be expecting it to arrive on our shores very late unless they plan a world wide release.

It could be a good thing i guess as the price would have dropped a little by then.

My friend was in the right place at the right time last Wednesday. The BestBuy near by got a shipment in at lunch time and he happened to be right next to the display area and picked one up not waiting, no lines, no rush of gamers... Pick it up and pay.

Now he had to decide if he wanted to sell it on ebay for four figures or play it himself..... decisions, decisions.

Sony purposely kept the nuber of available units low to spur sales. You can but a PS2 for $129 but the PS3 will set you back $600 - go figure.

Personally I rather spend the $$$ on an Accurate Armour US Tank Transporter and a Dragon M1A1 AIM.

I wish now I had stood in line toget one and sold it on E-bay like most people did then I could afford a AA tank transporter.
