I'm intrigued, what model are the 2 airbrushes that you have? If they are any better than a Badger 300 (a mini "spray gun") I reckon that I can show you how to use it for more than just base colours If they're not any better then I might be able to point you where you can get very much better airbrushes for a similar price. What type of compressor do you have, daphragm, piston? Basically what I'm asking here is "does it pulse" when feeding air?

I think Allen or Sam are the ones to ask as they own them, but i seem to remeber one was called a Badger (dunno what make sorry!), and it was pulsating but that was a problem with it so i would think not but i am really not sure!! Allen will be able to tell you!
