Last night I was cleaning my keyboard while the computer was ON. Suddenly all the icons disappeared from the screen and I had a message saying something like the virtual memory is too small and the computer "sticked". After 10 minutes it started but as you can see the background color appeared around the desktop icons. Before that, they were transparent showing only the icon and description. Whatever I tried I wasnt able to make them like before. Can anybody tell me how I can fix the icons?

Hey SnakeEye,

The text under the icons on your desktop are not transparent. You need to check two things out.
First open "System" from the "Control Panel", select the "Advanced" tab, and press the "Settings" button under the "Performance" header. Make sure that on the "Visual Effects" tab, the option "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop" is selected.
If this still does not do the trick, right-click the desktop, point to Arrange Icons By and make sure that Lock Web Items on Desktop is un-checked.

Hope that helps...

Its good to have people all around the world to help you, not only for models.
