i think my subject says it best, hello one and all. i stumbled upon this site and rather enjoyed it, great resource.

my background is that i started building models when i was 8, something my dad and i did together for awhile for he too has always been a fan, i started doing motorcycles, planes and cars but tried military 1/35th scale model making in my early teen years and built my first diorama when i was 14 just to try it out and enjoyed it immensely. so i build 2 others.. now that ended 6 years ago and i havent built a model since

so recently ive decided to get back into model making, so im back in the swing of things and excited to get started again

Had a question though, before i would consult photos and war footage for inspiration, ideas and research. Was wondering if anyone had any good gallery websites for such things, I know there are tons of military gallery websites but was hoping some people had specific ones. thanks!!

by the way, i love the campaign thing on this site, very nice idea, i hope to enlist with one sometime soon!

i apologize for the length of this message, hope i havent bored anyone.

HI Brett, (brearc)

Welcome to the big A! Just a note though, there is a forum dedicated solely for newcomers like yourself saying hi. Don't worry about it, it's not that big of a deal. Just a heads up though, actually I'm sure someone will come along and move this topic there soon.

We are a real friendly bunch ready to help out in anyway we can. You'll find there are many that have stumbled upon Armorama in exactly the same way as you have. Many are or have returned to the hobby. So feel free to poke into things, if you have a basic question do a search first to see if you can't find any help from the topics that have been answered earlier.

Otherwise the first rule of thumb is "there is no question that is stupid", so don't be shy!

Edit:

Sorry for not addressing your question, that was quite rude of me actually! Armorama has a rather large reference section from all different types of genres. If you don't find anything there Google works wonders. I wonder sometimes how I have managed before the net and google was...

You'll find the pictures I mentioned by clicking on photos. You will find models and references, I've gotten lost there many times

Im in the niagara region as well, i reside in the town of grimsby.

*also this might be a daft question but i wanted to know cause i was uncertain, when completed a campaign, how does one submit their entry, simply by posting the pictures in the corresponding gallery in the photo forums?

thanks!!
