So, what's the deal with everyone changing their avatar at once? Sabot, Rufus, Generalfailure, Ladymodelbuilder.... Is it something that you change 'cuz you're sick of it? Or do you want to create a whole new virtual look? Seems like I'm the only one who picked the guy with the serious underbite...
On a related note: For some reason, whenever I see a post by Jim I suddenly think of a pirate. One who is wearing the baggy red pants... In my mind he has a voice like that of Haggis McMutton from 'The Curse of Monkey Island'. Probably, you'll all think I'm really now, so I'll quit before I get any wierder.

I changed mine a while ago because it showed me smoking and I quit. So couldn't have that one representing me :-)

Yeah, you and several others now. Same with me. Even though your's just seems to fit you, I on the other hand tried to pick the oldest and ugliest to avoid repetition! Ahh, I guess it's just a sign that the site is growing in leaps and bounds everyday. A good sign though. I guess since there's other ugly buggers out there using the same avatar popping up I suppose I'll have to change too. Heck, if Sabot can change from a business version of ZZ Top's 'cheap sunglasses', I can give it a whirl just to keep the soup stirred up.
Hmmmm, now let me think.......

Tread

BTW....I still think Yodaman really looks like that in real life!!!!!

There isn't a picture of a crusty ol Navy Chief, or a Scotsman playing the bagpipes, so I went with my Nowegian ancestors. They were sailors anyway.

I do like my avatar, but I wish it was unique too...

I agree with Tread. Like Tin Can - when I first joined here - that was the one I picked. Now, I wish I had it all to myself sometimes...

Ummm, selfish modeler, I see...

I thought all Navy Chief's were crusty. Most of the one's I met were not only crusty, but worthy of trusting your life to. As far as a Scotsman playing the 'pipes'....I have dibs on that since the 'pipes' are what I play! You?
As to your Northman heritage. Not only were they sailors, they were meteorologists, naval architects, armourer's, and legendary adventurer's.
A good heritage, grasshopper.

Gee! Not this again...
I also like my avatar just fine. The hair is 100% accurate! It also looks kinda goofy and animated, also accurate.
Say, I wonder why there's no response from Jim abount my comment on his avatar...

When I first saw Sabot's avatar, I was rather intimidated by it. I can't quite explain how....
By the way: Tread, the next time you type something funny (which happens to be quite frequently...) please give warning. It's not good to burst out laughing when you've just taken a big gulp of water and you're sitting near computer equipment.

That smoking dude was the one I started with, but with all the negative waves out there ( not just from Morriority) from all those nons I decided a change was needed.

Sometimes that's exactly it. Or it's me before I have my caffeine in the morning. :-)
