Christchurch modeller and IPMS member John Belcher won the GOLD MEDAL at Euro Militaire 2006 for his 'Old Maori Warrior', entered in the 'Scratch Built' class.

Good to know that NZ is winning gold in the modelling world.

Excellent news.

Well done John congratulations on a job well done.

I am pleased the cost, time and dedication in not only producing the figure but entering a European contest were well rewarded.

This reinforces the opinion that many have of the high quality of modellers resident in the South Island. This confirms that they are indeed world class.

Hi Guys,many thanks for all the kind words.Winning an award at Euro has certainly given me the boost to especially carry on with more of my original scratch built subjects.I must again thank fellow Kiwi modeller Les Smith for taking my figure to Euro Militaire.Les also received a commeded for one of his models.Well done Les many thanks again guys.John
