Yesterday I recieved my GERMAN INFANTRY CARTS, ARMY FIELD WAGONS, ARMY SLEDS 1900-1945, by Wilfried Kopenhagen.
This is a very nice softcover mag, with good photos and some field manual spec. pics. [ nice for scratchers ].
So it looks like I'm in the wagon business.
It dosen't look too daunting, with the wheels to be the toughest.
News and progress pics. at eleven, ........ someday l.o.l.
A highly recommended book for WWI or WWII modelers.

The wheels could be obtained from the old Tamiya German Field kitchen. Most people that have modelled German stuff for years will have an old one that's been scrapped. Get a couple and you could cast some more up?

Thanks Vinnie, good idea, I'll still have to make some though because of the many different size wheels pictured in the book.
I'll try and make all the different sizes, then cast everything for a stash [ including the Tam. ones ].
Also some later war wagons had tires both treaded and bald.

Interesting looking book. Do you have the ISBN number?
Does it have a photo/diagram of the 500kg Army sled?

Cheers, Charles

Hi Glenn. Theres also the Italeri (old Esci) convoy set that has 2 wagen sets .. one of them being similar to the photographs you posted!
Something tells me you just want to make wheels though! :-)

Charles, the # is ISBN 0 - 7643 - 1273 - 1
Go on Amazon and they should have a few copies left.
The mag itself is only 30 or so pages long , but mostly photos.

Yeah Frank you guessed it, I cant wait to try scratching them l.o.l.

Frank, PZ67, I have 10 or 12 combo Italeri-ESCI ambulance supply wagon kits, bought them up on e-bay years ago.

Oh sorry Charles, they have a couple of sleds up to 300 kg., and a shallow boat - skiff they used in the snow as a sled.
