The japanese site of warner bros has the first trailer of clint eastwoods new movie. It is a very special project about the battle iwo jima, where during ww2 22.000 japanese and 7000 americans were killed.

The special part of the project is that Clint Eastwood bring 2 movies, which will see the american part (flags of our fathers) and from japanese side (red sun, black sand).

The other credits aren't bad also, with Steven Spielberg as producer and Paul Haggis (Crash) as writer of both movies.

The trailer can bee seen HERE and contains scenes from both of the movies.

I'd like to see someone do anew version of the Battle of the Bulge, or the Battle for the Huertgen forest. I know "When Trumpets Fade" was about the Huertgen (and pretty good too), but still....Speaking of the Bulge, diod anyone see "Saints and soldiers"? I was wondering if that was any good. I know its about the Malmedy massacre, but had not heard much else about it.

Speaking of Malmedy, check this out !! I always liked him as an actor, but man! I never knew this about the guy!! Charles Durning

I saw 'Saints and Soldiers'. I bought the DVD at Wal-Mart. It was pretty good. It had a decent story with a fair amount of action. Not a grand scale battle type movie, but a good story. I liked it. 2 1/2 stars.
