canon ixus 800 is it any good

ive just bought a canon ixus 800 is digital camera,can anybody tell me if this is a good camera for photographing models it has a 4x optical zoom and is 6 megapixels,iam only new to photographing models so could i get some advice.thanks

As this camera has a macro setting on it that allows you to get pictures from within 1 inch of your target, You should be able to get pretty good close up pics of your models with this camera. Best way to find out how its gonna respond is..take some test shots and see how they come out.
