Yo Grim:

I could see by the sign in the CRM storefront window that he is on
Watson Road. But I couldn't read the street address numbers. Can you
post here what it is?

The sign was salvaged from the old store so it has the old address.

The new store info is:
CRM Hobbies
5101 Eichelberger
St. Louis, MO 63109
(314) 832-4840
[email protected]

CRM has huge inventory of aftermarket goodies so if you're looking for something contact Chris, chances are he's got or can get it.

Well sorry to burst your bubble but I am not a collector. I actually buy what I need for a project. The consequences are that I miss a lot of good releases that go OOP because I usually don't buy unless I have an active plan for it. I guess that's why I do so many campaigns here on Big A. I enlist, develop an idea and then hunt for what I need.

OK,now we all know Alan is just a chipper of plastic drugs.
.Gary and I are full blown styrene/resin Tweakers!! Check this out:Go to IPMS Santa Rosa/Mt. Diablo Expo in Petaluma last month.Diorama wins nothing but gets photographed so many times the paint has faded :-) :-) .At vendor table I pick up pristine kit edition of AL-BY Panhard AMD 178,complete.Ask vendor,"How much?"
He says....................$8.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God I love deals!!
OK,OK, I'm fine now,really,seriously.Where's my glue?........

Post St. Louie update.
Got back in KC a couple of hours ago and the Gods of Plastic were watching over me.
SWMBO was out shopping so I was able to get my hefty size bag of goodies that I got at CRM inside undetected. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

She comes home about 30 minutes later. I offer to help her unload her purchases.
She thinks I'm so thoughful to help her after my tiring drive home. I get a hug and a kiss and life is good.

I'm a lucky dude!

She's gone again and I'm downstairs looking at my new stuff.
Yeah Baby!!!!!!!!!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

My name is Gary and YES, I am an ADDICT.

Yo Grim:

It's a good thing we're good friends and live close, . . . or dude, after hear-
ing how lucky you were cummin' home from St. Louie today,
I'd be tempted to blackmail you . . .

Jussss kiddin.

Will say this about Chris Merseal at CRM Hobbies, however, at least for
modelers who live in the USA. You can call him on the phone give him
your credit card number over the phone and he'll mail you your order the
same day. Very good service and a very nice man.

hehe

I love it, Gary.

I had a similar escapade just going from Leavenworth over to Liberty, Mo., and the home of Sprue Bros.a few weeks ago. I somehow convinced SWMBO that I had pre-ordered (true) and pre-paid (not exactly) two Academy M3 Lee kits. He called me the day thay came in and I was on my way. I've known Gordon Kwan, Sprue Bros.' main man for many years, but this was my first visit to Gordon's online store, so he gave me the tour. I spent a bit more money than I intended ...

Man ... If you live in the KC area, you need to get to know Gordon. Sprue Bros. is easily the biggest hobby shop in the metro area, bar none. He has no store front, but with an e-mail or a phone call, he will arrange to open the treasure trove (at least for folks he knows). Gordon doesn't have as much of the obscure aftermarket stuff as Chris at CRM, but he has lots of stuff and at good prices. Sure, I might be able to find a kit for a bit cheaper overseas, but why pay shipping and wait by the mailbox when I can drive over to Liberty and have instant gratification?

And besides, Gordon is good people. He has a cute family, puts up with us IPMS (both clubs) and KC AMPS knuckleheads, and he actually builds models -- pretty doggone good ones, too (mostly large-scale jets). If he has it on his website, he has it. He also advertises on this site, so check it out.

Bob,

I know Gordon (Great Guy) and have ordered from him as well, though I've never been over to his house/store to loot and plunder. :-) :-) :-) :-)
These days, I prefer to shop on-line and have it delivered to my door rather than chase around town.
Besides, my dog Roxy loves to go with me to get the mail, I get packages and she gets to snoop and poop!
Also order from Frank LeMay (Another Great Guy) here in KC at "On Target Hobbies" .

What else can I say, I'm an ADDICT!!!!!
Been there, done that, and bought the t-shirt to prove it. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Best regards,
Gary

Yes! Good to see Frank is getting back into things after a hiatus. Been to his place, too.
