Thought I'd take a moment to say hello; My name is Steve, iI live in Charlotte, and have just recently gotten back into modeling after twenty years. A little of it is because I am friends with a guy who does really great models/dioramas, and a lot of it is because I really have always loved it, and because I have two sons (2 & 4) who I am hoping one day will want to build models , like I did when I was a boy.

Welcome to the Big A as the members call Armorama
and you're in the Model Geek "division" right now. But there are other
divisions for Ship builders in Model Shipwrights, Historicus Froma for the
miniature figure builders/painters and Armorama for diorama and Armor
builders. Aeroscale will be the aircraft model site.

You'll find a lot of help from friendly modelers here on this site. And there
are "thread posters" who expond on they ideas and display photos of
their work from all over the world.

I would also suggest you go to www.ipms/usa.com to find out if there is
an IPMS chapter in or near Charlotte, NC. At these plastic model chapters you
can learn even more be seeing the models first hand and getting
acquainted with other gals and guys who share your interests.
