Who is going? I am picking Vinnie Branigan up from LAX on Thursday night and we will both be at the show for the full 3 days. It should be a big show with quite a range of interests (yeah that 1/6 scale toy soldier items will be present as well). But they have some great historical speakers lined up and quite a few vendors and manufacturers present as well. T-Factory's Rhode's Williams and his club will be there running the model contest and there are some fantastic awards to be given out for that.

So what are you waiting for? Start making plans!

Hope to see you there.

Cheers,
Jim

Wish I was going, but looking forward to loads of photos. :-) :-)
Now don't get Vinnie drunk.... and make sure he reads all the warning labels while in California, we wouldn't want him bringing home anything that causes cancer, birth defects, or harm to the reproductive system in the State of California.

I'd kill to go to this expo but sadly, it literally would be on the other end of the world for me so maximum expenses on this one.

The only favour i would ask is if you guys could take as many photos as possible and share it out when you get back.

I do hope to bring my family on a holiday once my son grows a little older so might just make this a plan for next year.

I went to the Atlanta expo last year, and really wish I could make the show this year. Remember if you drive over here Vinnie, we drive on the right side of the road. Have a great time guys!

Vinnie: You look thrilled to be behind someone in a tiger outfit. :-) :-)

Brian, I'd taken a gang of schoolkids, and all I wanted was a picture..............and the bloody thing had 'Minders'! I was running around it with the minders chasing me............. I think they wanted a fee for Tigger! :-)

Jeremy, next year should be a good one to make if you can. The IPMS National is being held in Orange County (LA area) and I believe, like last year here in Atlanta, DragonXpo will be held in conjunction with the IPMS show. I could be wrong about this but if not it makes for a monster of a show and a great time.

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Guys,

The closest I'll get to the expo is a trip to the local Hobby Town.

Instead of visiting a musty old show, why not come visit all of your members?

Have fun and be careful,

Fred

I still think an emergency stop over at Newark NJ is needed....

Now just to make everyone laugh, here's a photo of me and a buddy on YES, one of my "Spiritual Retreats" in New York State a few years ago. As you can guess it was over the Halloween Weekend, and we really do more than prayer, and kneel on broken glass.

The pooh suit now resides in Flordia, but Tigger is still in my closet, although I've gained about 20 pounds since this was taken.

and if this doesn't crack up Vinnie and Staff_jim.... nothing will....... :-) :-)

That is great news for me, as I live close in OC and will be attending the Dragon Expo (at least one day). Now I have the IPMS National to look forward to as well.
