im doing silk screening and since im an absolute dunce when it comes to comps, i decided to ask you helpful bunch of people.
how do you mirror image pics?

There should be a tool in your photo editor that does this for you. Look under a heading for "Rotate." Broderbund's Print Shop has this under "Rotate/Crop." WHen you click this there is a free rotate button and several to rotate clockwise, counter clockwise, 180 degress and left/right and inverted mirroring.

Steps
1. Open image
2. Select all - copy
3. Flip (see below)
4. Canvas resize (see below)
5. Paste in copies section and move to the right.


Photoshop Load image - Image menu, Rotate option, Flip Horizontally.
Select everything, copy it, double the size of the image, Image, canvas size, double the width, paste in the copied section.



No if true mirror photograph with an image next to a mirror is what you're looking for then its a different story.
