k, this may sound really sick to u all but im really getting worried.
recently, a lump started forming under my armpit, and it looks like its filled with water or pus or something, its really hard.
its getting harder and harder each day and im afraid that if it bursts under my skin, it will become highly infectious.
i must have gotten a cut in my armpit and got it infected or sumthing, but its getting large to the point of alarming me. it hurts when i move it aroud.
are there any advices out there?
should i get it lanced or drained?
tyvm
i hope it lasts till monday... im stuck in the middle of weekend and i cant get it drained... eeeeeeeeek!

I would suggest a visit to the doctor's office or local emergency room.
I wish you luck, and hope it's something minor.

I had a very similar experience about 2 years ago, mine was on my shoulder. It grew to the size of a golf ball and was very painful. After a series of ultrasounds in which no conclusive diagnosis was made, the decision was made to operate. It ended up being an abscesed cyst, which was a great relief. I did have to go to the emergency ward to get the dressing re-packed on a daily basis, for about a month until the wound healed itself (from the inside out).

Your lump is probably nothing to worry about, but for your sake of mind, I would get it checked out as soon as possible. Keep us informed, and best of luck.

Sounds like this. Wouldn't hurt to have it looked at since the lymph nodes are close. Swelling in the lymph nodes can be caused by a distal infection.

Hey Kyo-Jin,

Someone I knew had it to, not the same place though (on his belly) and it turned out to be a cyst also. (no really, it was not me, it was really someone else!!!).

But indeed the best advice: go see a doc ASAP!

You to Shain!!!!

Yeah I have a problem very similar to that myself but the cysts are on my head....of all places. They start out soft and "fluid" like but become hard after a few weeks. This happens about once every couple of years and the cysts are about the size of a very small grape. It usually takes around 30 minutes at the doctors office to have them removed. BTW, the ones I get are actually calcium deposits. My doctor said that for some reason my body doesn't expel excess calcium but instead it deposits them in the form of cysts.......don't know why they always end up on my head though.

Anyway, get it checked out quickly for sure and I hope everything turns out well for you.

I had something like this when I was a freshman in high school, back when dinosaurs ruled the earth. I concurrently developed serious hip problem that persisted on and off for a decade. The lump went away on its own, so I guess I was lucky in that regard, but definitely see your doctor and do not attemt any form of self treatment.

My twenty year old son just came home from work complaining of the same thing, small lump under the arm pit white to look at bit sore about the size of a pea.the weather is warming up over here so it might just be a zit forming but if it doesnt form a head i told him to see the Doc.

One, don't attempt to "fix it" yourself (bad things happen when people try to fix themselves).....two, go see a Doctor. Let them tell you is is nothing more than a zit or a cyst, or whatever. Then let THEM treat you.

Been there, done that, HURT like a (BLANK) until I was "professionally" fixed.
