Am I the only one or do other have these intermittent problems with Armorama?

1. Many times when I click on a link it takes me to a Page Cannot Be Displayed error page. If I go back and try to click the link few more times it finally takes me to the right page.
2. That same behavior can be observer during posting messages in the forum.
3. Sometimes clicking on a link takes me to a blank page. Refreshing that page eventually displays content.

This is happening on three different PC’s in three different locations. Anyone experienced anything like this.

Once in a while I also get something like this:

Error connecting to dbarmor
Program: /usr/local/www/vhosts/armorama.com/htdocs/mainfile2.php - Line N.: 42
Database: armor
Error (1049) : Unknown database 'armor'

I have had the same trouble for a few weeks now (I had been thinking I was the only one with this problem too). Sometimes, I'm able to open the page by clicking the 'refresh' button five or six times.

I am also having trouble. It must be the hosting company having DNS troubles.

It may be a DNS issue, but it' more likely the server is busy and just doesn't return any page info. I have seen this happening myself on 1 out of 30 or so pages. I am trying different server settings to see if this problem can be corrected on my end.

On another note we had 76 users on the site a day or so ago. That was a record for what I have seen.

That 1 in 30 sounds about the same as I get. I Also can notice a significant variation in the time taken to load new pages, I guess it all depends on how busy the server is. I usually get there in the end.

If this persists we will DEFINATELY be switching hosting companies and going to a dedicated server. I just hope that the change will be for the best. The reality is that there are other factors besides the number of users on the site that are killing our speed. 7100 photos in the gallery for instance may be a big part of it. I am still holding out hope that the next version of Gallery (v2.0) will be more performance minded for big galleries.

I'm getting this problem too. I guess you have to look at like a double edged sword. The only reason you are having these problem is because you are so popular #:-)
