Here is a picture of An acoustic guitar neck, which just happens to be a Fender Squier.

I don go there I asked them if they had any pickup bobbins and the guy asked me "What are bobbins?" :-)

I'd kinda rather go with a strat profile meets Les Paul/ Squier headstock and/or Ibanez RG jeadstock since LP necks are neck through/set neck and I need a bolt on which is why I choose a Strat profile but which is bridge is better T-O-M(Les Paul bridge),
Les Paul Jr. Bridge (T-O-M tailpiece/bridge combo), or a Stratocaster hardtail bridge (same as tremelo but without springs and tremelo)??

And would a U-bar truss rod be better than a regular standard truss rod?

I'm going to build a neck with like some form of a strat style headstock but the Ibanez RG headstock looks like the one I want. But there have been absolutally zero websites dealing with an Ibanez RG headstock. No templates no nothing so I'll just have to find another headstock shape I like.

what is the entire length of a Strat or Les Paul neck(which ever neck profile is suited for fast playing) from the top edge of headstock to bottom edge of heel(end of neck) in inches?Because I'm going to mix a Strat or Les Paul neck profile (which ever neck profile is suited for fast playing with either a Ibanez RG style headstock.

I might go look at music-go-round(retarded music store name) and see if they have any cheap used necks the next time I'm in Davenport , IA they have used pickups for $10 for a set of 2 so I might as well see if the also have cheap necks there as well.
