Mrs Brandydog is always using different types of anti-wrinkle cream. I don't know why, she is beautiful as she is. [just in case she happens to look over my shoulder while it type this.

 ]
Anyway someone told me that it is a waste of time spending money on these pots and potions........they just don't work. HOWEVER they said one thing that DOES work is HAEMORRHOID cream.
My first instinct was to buy some and rub some on her face every night when she is asleep. The trouble is I don't know if it could be dangerous. So I am now thinking of giving it a try on my own face. Yes, as unlikely as it seems I do have one or two wrinkles.
Does anyone know of any dangers in using this cream on the wrong end of the body? If so could they post here before I try it. I don't want to end up looking like the elephant man or a refugee from a leper colony.

Hmmmm..can't say I've ever heard of using that for wrinkles, but you never know...could work.
I doubt it would do anything too bad to your skin, due to the fact that it's intended target area is pretty sensitive to start with. :-)
However, since this definitely isn't the intended purpose, it's probably wise to try a spot test and see how it reacts. Place a little on the inside of your wrist, or inside or your upper arm (inner bicep) and check it every hour or two. This is pretty sensitive skin, so should show a reaction. If you don't get a rash or your arm doesn't fall off, try some on a spot along your chin or jaw and see what happens (again waiting a couple hours or more).
The skin on your wrist and arm are differenty than your face, so they may still react differently, hence the two tests.
Good luck!

I guess the short answer is maybe and depends on the formula.
Preparation-H says it can if it has the live yeast additive. But, it seems from the
Health Central site, this is no longer sold in the US.
Your being in the UK may be the key to the answer being close to yes.
The things we end up discussing here! LOL

HUMMM..i dont know of this being used as an anti wrinkle cream..but..i do know that it works on those puffy undereye bags that we all tend to get after many hours of sleeplessness. I have used it for the under eye bags at times and it does work..however..its not a lasting effect..it just shrinks the membranes for a while..

I would test it out in a less visible place first (like the inside of your arm), where the skin is sensitive, yet somewhat more similar to the face than the intended region. Reason being, and this was mentioned above, if you have sensitive skin, you may get unwanted effects. I personally have sensitive skin and deodorant has literally burned my skin a different color in my armpit. This isn't a big deal as my armpits aren't always out in thier glory, but, I may think a little differently if it were my face.

At my age and with my body I'd need to order it in 55 gal drums, and soak in a swimming pool filled with the stuff for a week.

Don't know about Preperation H.....but I've used KY Jelly for everything from lubing gun actions (actual firearms....not "other guns"), to greasing screws and bolts to keep from stripping threads.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Who'd have thought that a modelling forum would ever have had responses that included the phrases "shrink the membranes", "live yeast addative", "soak in a swimming pool" and "rectal tissue" in one thread?
I will definately give it a try and report back on the results.

Hi Martin...
brings a whole new meaning to getting sh**FACED..
I have heard models (curvy type), actresses and actors for that matter and Miss this and Miss thats use it for the same reasons as Martin describes.
I think it it tightens blood vessels, pulling the dropped or puckered ones (piles) back in to shape. So applied to face it pulls the skin back therefore, at least temporarily, eliminating wrinkles.
Hmm I wonder if thats where the word facees came from.
Cheers

Martin - told my missus about this, and she reckons that this came up on the TV a while ago - it contains some chemicals that can affect the skin, causing burn-like marks. DONT DO IT

Ived used preperation H all my young years to control these buttons i had that wouldnt go away with all the creams doctors prescriped... and i dont have any burn marks on my skin.....

Maybe i woulda been better off with a little burning instead of the above.

   Francois,
They will go away. I had horrible acne growing up. I know how you feel by looking at your face in that picture. You will grow out of it and end up looking just fine.
