Hey,
Is anyone else going to the Roscoe Turner IPMS contest in Indy on the 25th of March? I'm going. May actually enter something.
Let me know if you are planning on attending. I will be the normal looking guy in the Big A t shirt...

I am planning to attend. Just to shop the vendors though. I have been to the last three or so. Always a pretty nice vendor turnout.

I will be there representing my company Wings n Treads as well as brining some 1/48 scale armor to compete with. I may be brining one of my club members as well.

There's a good chance I will be there, unless something pops up.

Winston,

You need to edit the link in your signature file. It currently reads "https://armorama.kitmaker.net/www.wingsntreads.com" and does not go to your site.

Just a heads up.

See you at the contest.

Can you give me more info on the show? I didn't know that one would be in Indianapolis this month.

Winston,

Click on "my account" in the upper right hand corner of the page. Then click "update password/profile."
Scroll down to the "your link" text box and edit the URL in the box. Then, scroll the whole way to the bottom of the page and hit "save changes."

That should do it.

Shaun

At this time I have a kitchen pass in hand (some of you married military types will understand). I will be wearing either my OD green Armorama golf shirt (if the weather is nice) or my long sleeved denim Armorama shirt.

Bring your snowshoes. They say we could get up to 10" of the white stuff late tonight into tomorrow afternoon here in Indy. Hopefully it'll be gone by Saturday. Highs in the 40's the rest of the week. There is a large toy soldier show scheduled here on Sunday if you want to make a weekend of it here in the Hoosier state.

I'm a native Vermonter with an all wheel drive Subaru. Take a little more than snow to stop me.

No worries now. We got way below forecast totals and streets are already clearing. Made for a tricky morning rush in some spots. Should be smooth sailing by Saturday.

It depends on whether I have to work, and my money situation. Thanks for your time, and maybe I'll see you!

Yes, I am there too. My Jack Russel terrier pup developed a fondness for the diorama I have been working on since Christmas and decided to eat a good portion of it Tuesday afternoon while everyone was at work/school but I will dust something off just to enter.
It was on the dining room table and someone left a chair pulled out so she could get up on the table...

Dorked up the decals on my Jadgpanzer IV. Hopefully I can fix them before Friday night. I should have 2 or 3 kits with me depending on if I get the JP refinished.

I got an Armorama tag to hang on my IPMS name badge. I should be easy enough to spot.

Looks like a decent armor show though:
MILITARY VEHICLES
18. All armor types, 1/48 and smaller
19. AFV's, fully tracked, closed top, 1/35, 1945 & earlier (splits)
20. AFV’s, fully tracked, open top, 1/35, 1945 & earlier (splits)
21. AFV's, fully tracked, 1/35, 1946 & later, all (splits)
22. Soft skin Vehicles, 1/35
23. Armored Cars/Half-tracks, all
24. Ordinance, includes towed weapons and missiles, all
25. Armor 120mm and larger, all
26. Conversions & Scratchbuilts, all
27. Out of the Box, all (splits)

Of course, they used the wrong word for category 24. Instead of "ordinance" (local laws), it should be "ordnance" (military materiel).
