Actually, I've know about the trailer for about two weeks... But thanks for reminding everyone else! :-) :-) :-) (OK, so I'm really in a great mood!)

Thank God I have a VCR - the wife actually wants to go to dinner when it airs!

She must unlearn what she has learned...

Just watched the "medium" sized image (as I am not falling for Apple's bloody commercialism and buying Quicktime Pro!). I guess I will still need to see it in the theater to see the true scope and detail.

I love how they keep using music from the original trilogy. That's one thing I damn disappointed in with Episode I, minus John Williams excellent Dual of Fates I think he didn't put the effort into TPM as his has with other scores. I hope he corrects that with the last 2. I didn't see any scenes with JarJar. hehe

I can't believe it's only a month away or so. Kind of snuck up on me this time. We actually were in LA for the release of TPM so I saw it at Universal Studios/City Walk. Nothing so grand this time. Just cruddy ole Charlottesville theaters. Yuck.

She is weak-minded, use the Jedi mind trick on her...you want to stay home and cook...you do not need to go out...I can watch the trailer...move along, move along

Heck, didn't you guys pay attention to my commercial for a commercial jokes? I've been seeing these commercials advertising the Jedi commercial all week.

I thought the trailer looked great - maybe George made a movie worthy of the Star Wars name with this one. Makes me think he should have made Clones episode one and ditched TPM entirely.

:-) My wife is naturally Force-Resistant! She's like Watto when she gets her mind going in a direction. Most of the time I can channel this power for peaceful purposes - but rarely towards domestication. Typically, she watched the Trailer TWICE last night - and then pretended she didn't have a clue as to what was going on. Likes to do that to yank my chain. Tonight, we'll have a long discussion about the Clone Wars and what we think will transpire in the new movie.

I paid attention to the 'commercial for a commercial' jokes - even mentioned it in another thread. I've got a subscription to the Homing Beacon - the electronic newsletter and have been getting information about the trailers and movie for a long time. I just couldn't resist posting it here :-) for a change.

The one thing that really got me excited is that we see that Anakin is somewhat of a loose cannon, arrogant and has the whole 'I'm better than you' attitude. And to see Palpatine telling him he's the most powerful jedi!!! Also I can't get over seeing Anakin fighting Dooku with his AND OBI-WAN's lightsaber

You know, I heard that John Williams wrote more music that what was used in the final edit of TPM. A lot of the fan complaints center around the editing - and the soundtrack was chopped too - he couldn't go back and rescore musical sequences. I hope whatever caused them to edit the heck out of TPM doesn't come into play with future movies. I agree, Duel of the Fates is a wonderful suite - and the most striking of themes he's written for the Star Wars stories - in my opinion. It's more emotive than the Imperial March, and kinda like listening to a much longer composition of the piece of music backgrounding the 'hot' scenes of the Millenium Falcon's run through the Asteroid Belt in The Empire Strikes Back.

I'm not a Jar Jar Binks fan either - though I'm not calling for his grisly demise like other fans . Contrary to other fans, I actually liked TMP a lot. It set the stage for all stories to follow very well. Darth Maul is incomparable too!

Yeah Buddie - I picked up on that too. I have high hopes that this moive will set the stage for an incredible Episode III. Isn't it funny to get so excited about a movie that we already know how the major events will turn out?

I think you must be...
About The Phantom Menace DVD, did anyone get those 'hidden outtakes' to work? I haven't.
Another thing about the trailer; Did you notice those huge triangular ships are the Victory-class Star Destroyers? Palpatine probably calls them something else though... Hmm, 'the happy triange ships of peace'? LOL

Ah....the circle is complete. When I left this post last Yodaman was just an enlisted man. And now....he's an officer. ::::salute::::

Jim, it's all thanks to you! ::::salute:::: This is a great site, I love it, and being able to talk to modelers around the world is a really cool thing! Thanks again!
Hey, I just noticed this; I thought your avatar used to be animated? I liked seeing Snoopy's™ scarf flying behind him.... Oh, there it goes. Never mind.

When TPM opened, the TinstleTown near my house, had showings starting at midnight on opening day. They will probably do that again this year and Ill be in line. PROBABLY PLAY HOOKIE FROM WORK THAT DAY.

You may be in for a treat. I read in an issue of Star Wars Insider that James Earl Jones said that George Lucas told him he might be needed for the ending of Episode III... Not that I'm trying to ruin any surprises. (we know Annie's gonna be Vader anyway)
If Jim's gonna make animated avatars, he should make mine grind its teeth! :-) (for more on that topic see forums for 'dental care' and 'things that make you go hmmmmm part 2')
