Is it just me or that i havent heard of any sales going for our LHS around Auckland? The last sale i went to was at Hobby Direct where they were having a 50% sale which was mid last year. Havent heard a peep since.
Anyone been to any lately?

Hi Jeremy
I went to the sale when Acorn Models closed.
Modelair have regular mini sales. I picked up the Tamiya Tiger photoetch grilles out of a clearance sale box for a very reasonable price
Hobby Direct have good sales on an irregular basis.
On a lighter note Ace Hobby prices are pretty good and so its always sale time.
Regards
Sean

Does Modelair publicise these sales or just advertise it within the shops?

No not really these are ongoing all the time however via their email newsletter system of which I am on you get notice of clearance sales etc.
I know at one stage they had a weekend where it was 20% of all Dragon stuff instore. Being a dedicated Dragon fan I thought it was great.

Ah i might sign up for their newsletter too then. Ive been wanting to get a Dragon kit to really see how good it is compared to the Tamiya products.
Its a damn shame about the modelair site though...they really need to work on their online catelogue as it still doesnt work.
