Anders,

I'm not absolutely sure, but I think Rob (Sabot) mentioned in a post that he had such a collection of books.

Like I said, I'm not absolutely sure it was Rob, but you could always ask him.

Take a look at these offerings by OSPREY.

I really don't own any of their books, but I have taken a look inside and they seem pretty full of references. Maybe some of the people who own them here on this site can guide you to their best offerings.

Hola,

Thhanks for the replys guys

I should have been a little more clear
I have some ospreys and they are great as far as history behind things and they contain a few color references.

What I'm looking for are books with color pictures of the real things, like the reenactor books etc. The history behind them isnt all THAT important at this moment, but most books with real deal uniforms show dates when issued etc.

I have a copy of German Army Uniforms and Insginia 1933-1945 by Brian L. Davis. This book is of course, strictly on German uniforms. It covers in great photographic detail every piece of German wear, from the lugged soles of boots to the different types of headgear. The only color portion is dedicated strictly to the Waffenfarbe system. I find this book to be very beneficial when painting German figures.

I can't say too much about German nor Russian reference, but I will say that I just ordered this one from Concord Publishing concerning U.S. uniforms.

Thanks guys!

If I remember correctly there is a book about the Waffen SS or something similar, that has everygarment ever produced ( or close to it), but I cannot remember the name of it for nothing!

Also, Kenc,

Have you recieved this book yet? If so, how is it?

Anders, I just ordered it on Thursday the 5th, should be here in about a week. I read a review on it in November's issue of Military Modeling which said it was very good.

If you go on over to Concord Publishing , you'll a few titles for German Uniforms. Click on the "Warriors Series" link. A couple of the books have nice previews.
