Not me my puter..Turned it on the Monday morning and it sparked up and fizzled. Ken helped me locate the problem..my power source fried..so...It may be a bit before ya all see me for awhile...Would anyone know if the power source cooked..would it fry all components that are connected to it? I'm hoping all is okay once I put in a new power source...otherwise it will be along time before I can buy a new computer...hope to be back up soon.

There a good chance only the power supply cooked. When you put in the new power supply, just connect the mother board only and power up.

John, you will be one lucky SOB if all that burned out is your power supply. In many cases if you see the PS spark, it usually takes the video card and memory with it. I've seen it plenty of times. Good luck!

My first Gateway did that about 10 days in. Bzzztttt! Flash!!! Fried ozone smell
Called gateway, they had a new PS out very quickly and I dropped it in. No other damage. The machine lasted another 5 years.
Supposedly, this is a pretty rare occurence.
