Last Friday I started my New Years resolution, I haven't touched one in 4 days, and don't really want to either. Feels good to take deep breaths again!

Now on to my other resolution, get all my kits built...yeah right!

Good Luck...
It's an never ending struggle with me.... one day at a time.....

EDIT::: I did buy a new digital camera with the money I saved....
just by tossing the $6.00 a pack into a jar each day....
I smoked more than 1 pack..... we won't say how many.

CONGRATS Chip!

It is tough, but well worth it!! Its' been about 25 years since I quit but I still remember what a pain it was. Hang in there, don't give in!

Good for you Chip. It was supposed to be my New Years resolution, but my best effort is maximum of 3 sticks a day. I want to stop smoking...

I envy you....

Hang in there, Chip. The first 3 months are the toughest. It's been 3 years since I quit, and I wish I'd done it ten years ago, or never started. It takes a lot of determination, but it's worth it. If you want any tips PM me.

Its weird because you have to keep busy with something and for me, I have to keep my hands moving so I don't really think about it. So I am trying to learn to play a song on the guitar and its taking a while but it keeps me busy.

The models I am sure will be coming out and onto the table pretty soon. Because that is another thing to keep my hands busy.

Thanks all you guys!!!!

Well that's a constructive method! And think of all the money you save on not-smoking that can be spend now on AM sets and kits!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with it Chip!

Keep going Chip, it will get easier. I smoked for 20 plus years, haven't for 6, don't miss it, don't think about it. Just after I quit I would be in an elevator or behind someone in line and I could smell the smoke on their clothes, I couldn't believe that I had just gone through 20 years of smelling like that.
Now I know lots of fine folks who smoke I have no problem with that but just thinking of how much I smelled helped me along the way..
Its a tough one , you have to want to quit, but you can do it, and no I didn't save heaps of cash when I quit....
If you need to chat just write
Cheers

Good for you Chip. I quit smoking 3 years ago (after 15 years) and now I feel better than ever before. I can run faster and longer than I could when I was 15.

It sure was hard to quit, but well worth it. Good luck!

Well done Chip, keep it going.
I tried a few times using gum, patches etc. Had to use Zyban tablets in the end. They had a bad reputation over here but they worked for me. About 6 years ago now.

All the best
