Hey
Still have 10 digits
Was wondering why the blender wouldn't sit in the base properly before use. Reached in to press it down from inside (you know, around the 'blade' part?) It suddenly fell into position (of course it was plugged in and switched on at this stage)
Heard a whir and pulled my finger out (pun intended) and quivered for a while.
Looked for any damage, and realised the blade had sliced my finger...

This is the perp looking all innocent later on

Can you believe this is all that happened?!

Have done more damage from innocuous looking #11 blades...
Anyways, here's to continuing to make models in the future...Whew!

Well mate you were bloody lucky!!My first question is why did you even put your finger inside the jug in the first place??(Well being an Aussie is no excuse..hehe!)Secondly,did you have an all nighter drinking Bundy rum and V.B's before coming home at 7:00am sparked up,to make yourself some morning cocktails with your blender?Hehe..

hehe well the darn thing wouldn't sit right when forcing it from the top, so logic tells me to shirk danger and reach inside with my digit...
And nope, I was actually drinking Newkie browns last night... The missus' 26th birthday... VB turns me guts :-)

Hey Bradley, there is something stuck in my garbage disposal. You want to come over and see if you can get it out?

Shaun

You are one lucky individual...

While you're over here, swing by during the next snowstorm when the snow blower clogs up! :-)

Hi, Which just goes to remind us all that it only takes a nano-second of misjudgement--something that all of us do on occasion--that can lead to some very tragic and nasty results.

You are very, v-e-r-y lucky. You have definitely cashed in some of the good deeds you have done in the past and must rebuild them for the next go around.

Thanks for posting this as a good reminder for all of us.

Take care, Larry

Funnily enough Rick, if you look back at that Darwin awards post, I made mention that many were American, and I think this blender is, also... Karma's a beetch

Phew!!!
The great escape...

The first lesson ...ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOUR APPLIANCE IS UNPLUGGED BEFORE YOU FIDDLE.
And I'm a fine one to talk

For a moment I thought this was an entertainment piece....sort of an electronic version of "How to have fun with a loose chair cover" or "A smile, a bucket and a piece of string"....(Quotes stolen from Monty Python)

Glad your pinky is not too damaged.
Makes one shudder with the thought of what you might have suffered.

Cheers
Peter
