Hi,
I need some advise on the use of putty,
I always use the tamiya putty
and normaly I only use small amounts to fill seams.
But for the project I am working on, I need to fill larger holes and stuff. The problem I have is that the putty dries out in a couple of min. before I can put it on the model and I have to trow it away.
Is there a way to keep it soft so I can handle it a bit longer??

I have the same problem. The putty just dries to hard
I found a good alternative for that and it has actually nothing to do with putty
For larger areas I use the wallspackle (the same as I used on the walls of my contestdio)
The stuff comes in a tube, it`s white, available in any hardwarestore and it takes longer to dry out. for certainly an half an hour till an hour you can still make adjustments to it if you have done that you have to let it dry for 24 hours and then it becomes rock hard just as the putty
this were my two cents
I hop it`s any helpfull
