Hey all
finally summoned the bollocks to attempt to scratchbuild the horn guard on my M4A3 (76)
What do you think? I know it needs some cleaning up, but that's more the fault of the macro setting being better than my eye at picking up problems :-)

Harry, this is my first attempt at the actual horn guard, which is more intricate than the brush guards for the lights alone. Have made a few of these, as the kit ones are pretty bad in my experience, although the latest Dragon offerings give a PE option... Too flimsy for my liking though... Their plastic ones have improved...

how did you et the flat parts from the brass? did you hammer it flat?

Kyo-Jin, the brass actually comes as you see it, Called 'brass flat bar" or similar, got it from local model railroad shop. There are various sizes.

It looks great. Scratchbuilding is fun isn't it? But sometimes fustrating...
