NM 130 ARV--A RARE BEAST
Posted: Wednesday, December 07, 2005 - 09:13 PM UTC
Another one that has been "LURKING" in a corner..........
This little beauty was found (somewhere ) by my good friend Erik 67.........seems it had been "mis-laid" ... so-o being a "friend" he sent me the pic----knowing that I cannot resist such rare beasties
Well!!!---seeing my Oly1a is "ON HOLD" (needs re -vamping) it was too good to leave
Chaffee kits are not too common so- "E-bay" and America was the out come -not 1 but 2(greedy me) :-)
Hope you enjoy the build..........
The kit---including metal tracks(freebie addition)
New turret ring blanking plate--raised
Jib ring --side pods--Cmdr's hatch-new back deck -new intakes
Jib and winch test fit
Extended and elevated
Winch rope guard
More soon

Allways a pleasure to help you with references Steve. I hope you have forgiven me for the "near death experience" I gave you when I sent you the first pic :-)
...and as usual, a great looking project.
Cheers

You really scare me... :-)
Actually, come to think of it, I saw something similar to this last week on one of the bases. It looked like this beastie on an M107 chassis.

Steve
Another outstanding project What tracks will you be using? I see that the real thing has different style track pads
If you use the kit tracks be very carefull They are typical tight fit Italeri tracks Also the kit sprockets and idlers do not have the lightning holes
Friulmodel makes a replacemnt set of the T85 (I think) rubber chevron tracks that include a better set of sprockets and idlers
