Hey guys,
Yup.Ireland well and truely thrashed and now THE big match of the tour is coming up and it looks like the English are going to be a bigger challenge. They have a HUGE forward pack, while we(N.Z) have a very mobile one. It's going to be a thriller, and i wish the Pommies the best of luck .
Isn't it amazing what a difference the English side is minus...what was his name....Sir Clegg,no...Sir Collin,no...ah that's right...Sir Clive.Hehehe;)
Go the boys in black,Kia Kaha!!!
cheers,Shay

The english are certainly talking this one up......dodgy spies and all.

Of the entire Grand Slam, i want the All Blacks to win this match up with the English SO BAD! Im just curious what other excuses the coaching stuff will come up with.

What about that other guy.......Johnny Wilkinson? Or is he injured again? :-)
I really do hope the All Blacks really give it to the English, On a silver platter of course :-)

Wow talk about a close game even though it was either 15 vs 14 and for a minute it was 15 vs 13 men. :-)

It was 5am and i was cheering in my living room like a mental patient with his a** on fire. I was seriously on the edge of my seat in the dying minutes especially when the ref issued the 3rd yellow card.

Just a small rant if i may......i seriously had issues with that ref as he got into the game too much and didnt let the game flow. I felt he was a tad too trigger happy with his cards and seemed like he tried all he could to give England the win. Masoe's yellow card and the one after just seemed too bizarre....not a single warning and just went straight to his pocket.

Either way, we will take the win.

Yes a win is a win, I think the poms talked themselves up to much and just didn't produce the goods, bring on Scotland and the Grand Slam ! !

What are your thoughts on the forwards in the scrum? I honestly thought the AB's forward pack out muscle the pom's forward pack most if not all the time.

Its going to take alot to bring down our very own strapping farmer boy Carl Hayman in a scrum.

I agree Jeremy, I thought the AB forward pack was alot better than the English. I think the UK media gave the Pom forwards to much credit for just one good game.

Andy and Jazza. We did it again!!Yesss!!To be fair, the English played out of their skin. They knew alot was riding on this game, and they were the only side capable of upsetting the Grandslam. Now the real business...What a haka!!It set the whole theme for the game.It is something that SHOULD be continued and not stopped despite pathetic media reports from the English press.
The game could of been better if the referee had done his job properly. The English were always playing offside, yet the ref chose not to notice that.Instead he killed the run of the ball.To make matters worse,he started handing out yellow cards like McDonalds discount coupons!!Ok the offences were worthy of penalties ,but to deprive N.Z to 13 men was clearly an attempt to give the English an advantage.I agree with you Jazza and Andy, our forward pack played awesomely. In the past one man was relied on to make the play. Now,big but mobile forwards who are quick to their feet to defend are setting the standards..This was the biggest test for the All Blacks, and we passed with flying colours despite a rusty backline.Henry should of been coach 10 years ago,but his time is now.Thoughts on Scotland beating us?hehehe..
Kia Kaha to all of the Kiwi boys!
Cheers,Shay

Ouch Phil....you missed the game? Thats almost unthinkable in my books. You can actually download the game off the net if you really want to see it.

As for the british media reports....it would be a cold day in hell before they admit defeat and not cry foul or cheat over the smallest detail. They had 80mins of game play to pull off a win but chose to cry over the last bit of the game. Its funny how the media reckons the ABs "cheated" in every way towards the end of the game but what they never admitted was that despite the ABs being penalised for all these supposed "cheats", the english squad still couldnt pull off a win even though the ABs were 13 men at one stage.

The English squad never looked like a threat and my favourite play of the game was right before half time where an english winger spotted a gap, ran through it but met up with a massive counter ruck by the ABs, literally rolling the english backwards and re-securing the ball. Simply the best display of defense i have ever seen.

Poor Phil I hope you can watch the game somehow,
My dad brought up a good point about the English, They just didn't look like they were capable of anything. The have these fast men out wide who would rather kick the ball than run it......On the british media.....I just don't listen to em anymore. :-)

Gentlemen....
some how l will see the game,...lve been reading on the computer, The NZ Herald the comments by the British news papers, as l said l was a coach for years and if you did not win, YOU'D LOST!!!!one point or a hundred points, YOU'D LOST!!!!....
Rugby Union not just won on scoring trys, it helps, but as the Tri-nations teams and super 12 teams have learnt defence wins games also...
As the history books tell us England 's defeats have become heroic stands,...but we where the team who only had 13 men at one stage... bet that dose not go in the history books,
Back to the drawing board England,..!!

Phil....
