Hi all
Sorry posted this in rhe wrong forum to start with

As i have had great feed back in the past with certain posts ...here i go again.
I have to make a decision about our futures i have been offered a job in Utah as i mentioned in a previous post as a Senior Wilderness Instructor working with young people who have lost direction and have been in throuble with the Police ..etc.
I did this years ago in Arizona..after Pams illness i feel it would be a new start for both of us with my deep interest in Native Americans, nature and the out doors, iand getting out of the bloody rat race has got to be good.
The people seem really great to work with very grounded and a real passion for what they do.
Its almost that at 47 i really want to do some thing that will make a difference and to effect some change in other lives .
I know really which way to go but would value soom feed back.
Cheers Chris and Pam

I know at my age I couldn't possibly offer you much in the way of advice. Other than weigh out your options i.e. positives and negatives (family time, friends, atmosphere, climate, economics). Hope that that comment will atleast steer you in the right direction.

Chris, the way I see it bottom line is that you need to do what you think is right and what makes you happy. If you think that this move and a new job are what you want then I would say go for it. Change of scenery may be good for Pam as well. There are so many people in this world that go through life either not knowing what they want to do or doing something they absolutely hate just to pay the bills. If I were you and had an opportunity to do something I were passionate about and strongly believed in and on too of that getting paid to do it...man, I wouldn't think twice about it. You know what Nike slogan says...JUST DO IT!

Chris, I'm the same age as you. Almost exactly. I wouldn't have to think twice. If you're considering it, which you must be obviously, hence your post, then there's something about your present position you're not completely happy with. Go for it and see where life's Highway leads you........you might never get the chance again.

Do it or you'll regret not having done it for the rest of your life.

Chris, I changed careers at 50, never regretted it, although some days it's a real nut house.
