They have some unusual 1/35 resin stuff if you have lots of money. Average price 60 euros a kit and then $45USD to post from there to Australia With exchange rates the cost to me was around $180AUD per kit.

They used to be the makers and packagers of 'Roy Model' kits.

Cheers
Cliff:)

PS> shouldn't this be in the general modeling forum?

Hi Jim

Did they write to the address you display on your profile screen or one which you keep private?

All the best

Both Chip and Jim have listed their email addies publicly. It isn't difficult to write an application that queries websites and returns a certain value...

Guys, if you publicly list your email addie you've gotta expect to receive some ads and spam from time to time...

I too got their email today. I am betting they either went to model forums in general and got a bunch of email addresses or did some type of query for emails associated with this site since a bunch of us got it.

These guys normally appear at the UKs Trucks n Tracks Show in Folkestone every year. Their range of 1/76-1/72 and 1/35 models are good.

I dunno how they got your e-mail addresses though - but hey, why not ask them?

Regards, John-B

If it is the former Roy Models, then I'd buy their stuff. I did the Roy Models resin 75mm Pack Howitzer, and the quality was excellent. Of course it's a copy of Tamiya's old metal kit.

As this sites webmaster I have to say I am not happy that Wespe not only went through and gathered public email addresses but also sent out numerous PMs (private messages) using our internal messaging system. This is not at all "okay" by me and they will be getting an email to cease and desist.

Also they should be providing an opt-out option on their emails so that people can stop receiving these if they don't want them.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim,correct me if I'm wrong but to PM someone you need to be a member. So why would they not just post in a form, they would get more people looking?
