I just read in the paper that Nova tonight is going to retrace the sinking of the Yamato.

I try not to miss Nova anyway but this might be worth taping and keeping.

I didnt watch this specific documentary but the documentary titled War in the Pacific had quite an indepth section on the Yamato and its last suicide mission to defend the main land by attacking the main allied naval fleet. From the animations and actual footage, it seemed to be a sitting duck as they werent prepared for the aerial assault dished out by the allies.

If this program you talk about is anything like the War in the Pacific, its a must watch!

Thanks for the heads up Shaun. With all the other channel choices we have I frankly don't keep up with what is on PBS. I'm a bit ashamed of that. I will watch for it tonight. The wife is at a church meeting, and I planned on doing some modeling anyway.
