Well, I have build this model like at least 19 years ago. The glue still holding well. Guess I'll just put it up here for this old war horse to see some light (++)

Wow,

The Merkava looks good! The dirt on the skirts are really well done.

Can we have more closeup shots of this beauty?

Thanks guys for the nice comments.
I really don't know this is Mark what. I lost the box and the instruction sheet. The Tamiya catalogue I have doesn't say its verson.

Well Danny & JM, as per your request

And one new picture on a Monogram Hind-D I build previously. Its 1/48 scale. Monogram molding is really a pain in the a**... very bad joints and all. Anyway, its pretty hard work for this one

eerie, I wouldn't say I am a DAK "fan"... they are not 5566 or F4 afterall LOL!! Well, lets just say I enjoy reading this theatre of war and its the Allied first major victory over the Germans.
And its 19 years, not 9 years (++)

Yes, the IDF are very innovative about ways to improve their vehicles. Take for example an old M4 mounted with French 105mm guns to become M51. And the M113 with add ons (becoming ZELDA as you have mentioned) to repel rocket propel grenades - most famous example, the RPG-7.
I believe the ZELDA you got is by Academy. Post it up here to share with us lah.

Nice Merkava Dak. 19yrs ago, that's a long time ago. Nice Hind too. I've always wanted to build one ever since I saw it in Rambo (2?).

For a model that was built 19 years ago, i would say its a fantastic effort. I couldnt do mine nearly half as good 19 years ago.

Were the decals scratched intentionally or unintentionally?

I havent done much research on the Merkava but was it common to have spare tracks hanging on the front lower hull?

I'm 32 this year (oops... my age!) and I remember keenly I bought and build this Merkava when I was in Sec 1 which I was 13 year old then. My uncle strike big in 4D and gave me $40. Back then, the Merkava only cost about $25 if I don't remember wrongly. Its one of the more recent release at that time.

The decal peel itself over the years. So its considered natural weathering LOL!!

About the spare tracks below the hull, I don't really know if ifs a norm. I build it there per the instruction sheet. So I guess its pretty accurate.

It peeled in a way that it looks like the tank had move long distances and the debris and sand peeled it off. I wouldnt recommend this technique though....one could die waiting for natural weathering to occur.
