Very cool site. Although when I typed in Normandy Beach, France, Bastogne, Belgium, - it came up with "no results". ARRRRGGGHHH!

Pearl Harbor was remarkably sharp and the USS Arizona could be seen very well. You really get a perspective of the destruction from the satellite image.

Although not perfect, its pretty cool.

Check out the abbey on top of Monte Cassino... Really neat.
Search for "cassino italy" and go a bit southwest...

Frank you can’t really get a good look at them but Omaha Beach should be right around here.
49 23'39.38"N, 0 56'14.87"W

that may not be exactly where the beach is but its some where close. The tide appears to be in so its not the greatest.

Ok, may be a problem here. The Google Earth executable has an imbeded program called cain. This is a spyware program of the type: mouse/keyboard intercept. Removed the program, google earth won't run now. May be a program usage monitor or it might be something more sinister. Don't know. Just a heads up to anyone using the program.
