The Expo 2005 model show is to be held at the Grandstand Southwell race course on 9th October. I was hoping to have the "new" IPMS A-UK stand there but alas it won't be ready, but I will be there. Anyone else going?

Hi Phil,
I am in the process of getting the IPMS Armorama stand ready for Telford and I was hoping to have it part complete for the Southwell show. Things haven't quite gone to plan so I'm just concentrating on getting it ready for Telford.
I am changing my car so I have room for the stand but I found a problem with the gear box so I won't have it by the 9th Oct. The banner hasn't arrived from Canada and I haven't finished building my workshop to be able to make the stand elements. I do have a lap top (got it for nowt ) and I've purchased a web capture programme which means, hopefully, that I will have the whole web site running for Telford Basically there is still alot to do but I will have something for Telford.
No stand at Southwell, main reason is no car big enough to transport what I do have, safely

Hi Phil

Mal has been "at large" for a while now. Plus he's also our RAF moderator in Aircraft.

The amount of work Mal puts in for Armorama is just amazing.

All the best

thats typical me! i can tell you what mark spitfires are as they whizz overhead at airshows, but a title in someones avatar goes completley unnoticed! totally agree with you about his input both on the site and off. having spent a day with mal at the doncaster show, i reckon his title ought to be "armoramas roving ambassador"

Er thanks Rowan and Phil. It is alot easier to do something that you enjoy I actually feel that I don't do enough but come the IPMS ArmoramaUK site I think I might have my work cut out, but that's cool.
Phil, wait until Telford (not sure if you know but our stand will be at the entrance, next to the IPMS stand), I will be accosting anyone who comes within 5 metres of the stand and getting them into conversation about modelling techniques and Armorama I actually don't expect to have time to go and buy anything apart from the hour between being allowed in, as a "stander" and doors opening
But I am looking forward to it.

Hi Craig,
Welcome to Armorama, I hope we see more of you.
The show is held at the Grandstand at Southwell racecourse. If you like I can PM (personal message) you and give you some directions, or if you prefer I could post 'em here. It's a small show but if you live fairly close it's worth going. I go mainly to hopefully meet other Armoramaites. I will be waring an Armorama name badge (Holdfast) so if you see me say hi
Are you a member of the IPMS?
Kieth,
Any dio of yours would be great, even better if it has appeared on the site. I'll take a look and get back to you. Thanks.
Mal
