I am almost finished with my Panzer IV H/J in 1/72nd scale would like to place a nice brass title plate as a finishing touch. The panzer IV will be for the 12th SS panzer Div. Hitler youth groupe in the falaise pocket. I need you guys ideas on what the plate should say.

I'd keep it simple:
"PzKfw IV x
12th SS Panzer Division"
The rest is TMI.

I like to put the scale and my name as well on the models I build.

I like to put ...my name as well on the models ...

The inclusion of a name becomes problematic since many contests ask tht no identifying information be included to reduce the appearance of favoritism.

I would just put what the model is on the plate( in case any contests are entered). Your name and date of completion could be put on the bottom of the base.

I would put the name of the tank followed by the division it belongs to and the length of time it was in service. Its always nice to know some history behind the model.

Also just my 2 cents worth.

I agree with just the name ,unit and may be the place ...ie.. Falaise pocket 44. I find that a gothic style lettering for my German stuff looks really nice.
