hi,
I would prefer the containers with a lid on. That way, the kit would remain safe inside. I bought quite a few and am able to work on at least 2 kits at the same time. I have a similar situation, but due to construction near my flat.
Cheers!

I definitely wouldnt be using the fan method here as it helps facilitate the dust moving around and most likely end up on your wet model anyway.
The container ideas are good but assuming you cant find a container large enough to house it, believe it or not, the bathroom is one place you do your painting in. Silly as it may sound but being the most moist room in the house, dust has a hard time floating in there not to mention majority if not all of the bathroom is made out of tiles which dont house dust very well either.
I just wouldnt recommend commando style while in the bathroom painting however.

When I dry the paint on my models I take a large cardboard box turn it upside down and place it over painted parts / kit. Give it four or five hours. I wouldn't paint in bathroom with airbrush / compressor because of high moisture and paint don't mix

I agree with the container idea, I usally use the box in which the model came, all you need to do is increase the hight of the box, which I normally do by adding 4 colums, 1 in each corner of box bottom, said box can be used for multiple models. Good luck with the number 2 ranked enemy of modelers, DUST.
