Once again I have to ask, will the show in march be judged by actual modellers (people who build model kits as opposed to just talking about/criticizing it) who know at least something about the subject they're judging, or should we expect the nepotistic status quo?

I must make a correction to a previous post. The show in February is on 24 and 25.

Sorry Recon looked at the wrong date was not trying to misinform anyone.
And yes Mr. Horrible it will be actually judged by builders this year, and people who actually will build and know what they are looking for.

WOW.... I'm totally stunned by this news.... this is such a radical departure form EVERY OTHER SHOW this club has put on that I'm totally shocked!!!

30 days and a wakeup to what is promising to be the biggest model show in the state this year.

5pm seminar: washes and drybrushing by Eric Johnson
6pm speaker: Rich-OIF veteran-we might have a dvd presentation also with his talk.
Saturday
8am till 12 noon: registration
Judging-TBA
4pm awards
10:00am seminar-Chris Saulot- aircraft battle damage
12 noon seminar- Chris Saulot- Using tin foil
1:00pm speaker- Lt Lloyd Krueger- WW2 B17 Navigator

Yes, Jeff Herne mentioned back in this thread about a contest at the Midway Hotel off of I-94 & Moorland later this year. Any good updates for us, Jeff?
