Hi Daniel,
Have you tried making sandbags yourself? I suggest you give it a go. When I first started modelling I used modelling clay which I found was really good for making 1/72 sandbags.

Sure thing Daniel,
Your sandbags should be about up to the knees of your figures and about half that length wide. What I would to is to get some modelling clay and roll it into a long shape as wide as your sandbags then cut bits off.
Follow this link to find a way to make your own modelling clay lSandbags

Here is a Picture from that site

I hope that helps

Speaking of making your own sandbag, lots of fellow american modellers here have suggested using this product called 'milli-put' to mould it into a sandbag. Any clues what the NZ equivalent of milliput is?

Hi Jeremy,
We can get miliput in NZ but its pretty expensive. What I suggest using is the two part epoxy putty you can buy from hardware stores. I have bought from Bunnings called Epoxy repair putty from Pasco....It cost me about $5 or something.

Daniel, I wouldn't suggest using epoxy putty or 1/72. Das is perfect for what you need as you will get hundreds of sandbags.

Hi Andy

Great tips there.

I am of to Bunnings.

How old is Andy? Great question after meeting him all I can so his wisdom and modelling skills are greater than his age.

He is a very talented modeller.

Regards
