my unit (1 cav) is deployed to new orleans right now and my friends sent me a few pics of the looters and stuff, but of all the places on this one street they found a hobby shop un touched, and still locked and looking great, you can tell the integrity of military modellers is just as strong as the army, that is awesome,

wow really? Thats quite amazing to be honest. On one hand, model kitsets are no use to people in need of food and water. Its great to know there is some integrity in this world....see we arent all that bad of a species.

Most of the looting was confined to food and water. The true looters were after clothing and high dollar electronic stuff. As to the model shop, well I think when the owner returns more than likely he won't be too happy as his stock probably is covered with toxic residue from the flood waters.

Was that Hub Hobby by any chance? It's by the Orleans Parish Prison. I've been in contact with the owner via e-mail. It would be a nice bit of news for him.
Also, thank you guys for coming down here. I know it's gotta be unpleasant to say the least, but your hard work and sacrifice are greatly appreciated.
