Yep, the reporter with the long blonde hair. She didn't even smack anybody. No sword at all. She did her hacking, slicing and dicing with a video recorder.

Ive recently started looking for good tv series to get back into as i seem to have lost touch with my sci fi side of things. Do you guys really recommend this series?
I followed the older version diligently when i was a kid but have been told this series lack the action and have far too much dialogue. For those who used to watch the older version, is this true?

The older version is a second rate Saturday morning cartoon compared to the new version. The new version is gritty, realistic, scary. My daughter (12) likes it 'cause the hottest pilot, Starbuck, is a girl. The Cylons have the capability of assuming human form, inside as well as out.
If you're looking for a silly shoot 'em up, you can rent the older version. If you're looking for a superior science fiction program, then you won't be disappointed with the new Battlestar Galactica.

Yes it was Lucy Lawless and believe it or not that is her actual accent, she is an Aussie.lol She had to have a dialogue coach for Xena. I'm looking forward to additional apearances by the long tall Ms. Lawless in future episodes of the revamp of Battlestar Galactica. Which by the way I like a lot more than the original... Damn it was cheesy back then.lol

The show is definitely on a higher plane. It runs in the same pack as Babylon 5 which is the greatest show ever in my opinion. If you want cute little robots and kids running around with cute little animals, then I refer you to the early version of BG, Buck Rodgers, and Star Wars. If you want your intellect challenged and a adult show, this is the one to watch.

Only 2 Cylon models left to ID - I wonder if we'll see anymore on the season finale this Friday 9/23.

you could be right - I'm going on what Chief Tyrol's Boomer told Baltar - I took that as there were 8 models. Who knows - I 'm glad I don't know for sure as it will keep me coming back
