Ok for those of you with sky digital....get your arses on the couches and tune in to the History Channel and watch the series on the "Last Days of WWII". This is an indepth documentary breaking down each week nearing the end of the war. They touch on the last days of Hitler's germany to the war in the pacific and the invasion of Okinawa and finally the main land of Japan. Im soooooooo hooked on this series that my missus has to postpone any family trips until i finish watching it. :-)

Its pretty good as they have both Black & White footage as well as colour.

Hollywood really should make a movie out of this part of the war....the final naval battle between the allies and japanese war ship Yamato looks pretty intense.

For those without sky digital....pick up the phone and get it installed already!

:-) Gosh you know women well! I normally make it up by heading out straight after the program seeing as they air the program during the earlier part of the day so i still got time to bring the little one out for a bit of a run. Plus i have foreseen all this so i ended up buying a years pass to the Auckland Zoo so if we miss going on one day (like to the zoo), chances are we will head off the next week.

Its all about planning.

Alternatively, you could just get the DVD from www.historychannel.com

Im currently searching through the video stores before going down that path for obvious reasons. $$$$
