Quick recovery Joe. Good job keeping on top of it. As I've learned from family medical stuff, you always have to keep the doctors looking.

Friends and fellow modelers,
I can’t thank you enough for your thoughts and prayers, your phone calls of encouragement. It’s been said time and time that Armorama is one big Family. We seen the passing of our good friend Garry Beebe,
Silantra son having surgery to jackhammer’s diabetes. How many have became Fathers, Grandfathers. Kevin and Mary getting married, and members leaving and returning from tours of duty. That is what makes Armorama the Family we are.

Wife and I had the kids over for diner and to further explain what was the next step. They sure had a lot of questions but we assured them that everything was going to be alright and that an operation (called an Inguinal Orchiectomy) is to remove the affected testicle is normal in all cases. After awhile they lighten up and we started joking around with things like “one less thing to scratch” and “getting a hole in one” you get the idea. Yeah their a bunch alright.

Gentlemen,
As MoJo stated…check yourselves ,early diagnosis important?
This is just some of the information from the pamphlet I have.
Unlike most cancers, testicular cancer does not get more common as you get older. Most cases occur in men aged between 25 and 45, with very few cases in men over 75.
The most common symptom of testicular cancer is a painless swelling or lump in one of the testicles. Other, less common, symptoms include enlargement of a testicle, a pain in one testicle and an ache in the lower stomach.

Joe, Man , You can't catch a break. You know how hard this hits me bro, I'll be calling you soon. Lots of folks have mentioned Lance (Personal Hero of mine) & I'll be taking the extra step of making a donation in your name to the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Also gives me another reason to wear my yellow wristband (Lost my Mom to the Big C in '92). Hey, you've taken all the other crap life's thrown your way and bounced back, I have no doubt you'll beat this too. Looking forward to chatting when this is but a memory.

And, in the spirit of your conversation with the family...um...Try to "stay on the ball" from now on

(sorry man, dumbass humor is how I react to stress. You know I mean well )

'Hang' in there...

Joe, as was mentioned, Lance had testicular cancer then went on to win the Tour 7 times! My mother in law was diagnosed with cancer in 1975 or so. It was a heart condition, completely unrealted, that took her in 2002. We're all pulling for you, we'ew all in this together!

16 years ago... I went through testicular cancer. After removing my left "Little Buddie" and (they just don't open your scrotum and remove testical ... they cut you... and rip it out by the roots!!!) 8 months of intensive chemotherapy ... I sit here typing to you.

Testicular cancer is one of the fastest growing cancers ... but it responds to chemotherapy the best of all cancers. Hang in there Joe... everything will be just fine.

Being someone who went through this… feel free to P.M. me… and I will try to answer any questions or fears that you have.

Faust said the same thing I wanted to. I wish you the best and I re-itterate about Lance Armstrong. Doctors are usually so guarded about what they say for fear of being sued that with a 95% that is an incredibly optomistic number. Just follow their advice and I eel very positive that all will be fine

Again everyone thank you. Just finished getting my thing togather and had some blood work done. I should be back on within a weeks time.

Babva OUCH, I was told that it'll be about a four inch cut. And that 1% of American men get Testicular Cancer each year. I drove myself crazy last night reading way to much info off the net that I lost all scope of things. I will PM you with some questions.

My prayers go out to you and your family. I truely hope that you pull through and will be able to soon say you are a survivor.

And knowing how expensive medical operations are, I hope this doesn't put too much of a cramp on you modelling funds!

I offer my services in running the Aidid campaign.

Joe... I will be here for you if you have any questions. I remember when I was told... it does take a few days to sink in. I did cry for an hour or two.

Everything is gonna go o.k... trust me.

Hi, There's nothing that seems to strike more terror in us poor mortal humans than this word, and my thoughts, hopes and prayers go to out to you and your family at this time of trial in your life.

Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of fresh water and follow your doctor's directions to the hilt. You'll get through this thing.

As Red Green would say, "We're pulling for ya, we're all in this thing together."

Good luck and take care, Sgirty
